You are the Romans. Once the greatest empire in the
world, your power stretched through out most of
Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Ancient Near
East. Rome was the headquarters of the empire,
and the Roman Republic boasted its attempts at
forming a democracy to benefit all of the
people under its umbrella. The once magnificent
and glorious Roman Empire finally collapsed
under repeated attacks from the Visigoths and
other "Barbarian" hordes. However the
true cause of its demise was a weakening from
within. Ironic since one of Rome's greatest
accomplishments was the architectual design
known as the Roman Arch. The Arch was actually
implemented by other cultures; the Romans
actually borrowed the concept from the Greeks.
The Romans were not unlike many successful
business leaders today - they were always
looking for a way to design products so that
they were better, cheaper and more practical.
The Roman arch was a perfect example. They
figured out a way to do it so that it was
stronger and could withstand more weight then
its earlier designs, which were known to buckle
and bring the whole building to the ground. The
demise of the Roman Empire can be largely
attributed to its weakend core foundation;
breakdown of values & morals, a greedy hunger
for conquest, the inability to see to the
promises made to the people they conqueored and
were now under their charge - all of these
things contributed to the people's lack of
trust in the Republic's ability to take care of
them, and eventually Rome was weakend to its
knees. As a Roman, you are proud, arrogant,
goal-oriented, argumentative, philosophical,
logical, rational, opinionated strong-willed, &
absolutely Hell-Bent on getting what you want,
and you will stop at little to obtain it. (Even
if it means resorting to lying, cheating,
stealing, conspiring, overthrowing, betrayal
and murder. Just as long as you don't get
caught, eh?)Your motto is "Carpe
Diem!", for those of you unversed in
Latin, "sieze the day!" (and anything
else that looks shiny, pretty, sexy, or
otherwise appealing.) You don't mean to be a
bad person, but you are like a sponge, quickly
soaking up the ideas, thoughts and propaganda
that surrounds you. You really would benefit
from some quiet time alone to meditate and form
your own thoughts and opinions. And dude, I can
totally see your junk through that toga.
